About ClaudiaClaudia is a first year Ph.D. student at Boston University in the department of Earth & Environment. She is a member of the Fulweiler Lab where she is studying nitrogen cycling in marine sediments from the coast to the deep sea.
Claudia graduated from Mount Holyoke College where she received her B.A. in Geology and completed a Five College Coastal and Marine Sciences Certificate. During her undergraduate career, Claudia pursued her interests in earth and ocean sciences through various independent research projects. Her research led her to conduct fieldwork in many unique places both on land and sea. Claudia appreciates the interdisciplinary aspect of the earth sciences and the various adventures research takes her on. She enjoys traveling and finding unique ways to share her knowledge of the earth and its fascinating biogeochemical processes with others.
